About Us

The Broken Board was the start of a dream that became a reality in 2012.  As a team, we enjoy up cycling old furniture, bringing new life to lost pieces, and creating new items for any home. Signs, earrings, florals, and so much more is part of our adventure.

We are Clayton and Kristen Minkler!   Kristen is the designer, builder, painter, and dream catcher.  Clayton is the one that gets to help with all of the things but generally does not get noticed. We have 3 kiddos and they all help with business as much as they can. They are the center of our world and are also the “why” behind pushing ourselves to follow our dreams! We are so grateful for the opportunity to be able to bring unique and custom items into your homes or to give as gifts. 2019 was a year of growth for the business, both physically and emotionally. We were able to start shipping our designs nation wide! We are so excited  for what is ahead for 2020 with new amazing things coming!
